To assist with its expansion on creating original designs and technologies, SOEM is holding recruitment exercises seeking expertise in various engineering fields. Supporting this drive are scholarships, which SOEM is providing to potential local students to pursue their higher education, as well as the opportunity to embark on its Talent Development Program, which aims to develop future leaders in R&D amongst other key areas.

SOEM has also allocated approximately RM22 million to enhance its offices, amenities and equipment as part of the center’s expansion. This includes upgrades to the common facilities such as the cafeteria, rest areas and parking spaces, as well as the implementation of various beneficial activities for employees.

THE UMW Toyota Motor Body and Paint Centre at Bukit Raja, Klang, has started operations.

The new 5.7 acres (2.31 ha) facility is currently equipped with 42 work bays and four paint booths, which fully complies with the standards set by Toyota Motor Corporation Japan. The centre also has a repair capacity of 6,150 units per year.

UMW Toyota Motor has unveiled its latest full fledge comprehensive 3S (sales, service and spare-parts) and Body & Paint Centre in Alor Setar to cater for the increasing number of Toyota vehicles in the Northern Region.

The 3S centre, featuring on a 2.53 acres land, has a total built-up area of more than 58,000 square feet. It is equipped with a spacious showroom that can display up to 5 cars, service centre that can service up to 75 vehicles daily and a comfortable customer waiting lounge with internet facilities. It also has a Body and Paint Centre which can service up to 7 vehicles per day.
